Ian Gibson Economics November 13, 2007 Preferred Economic System If I had a choice, I would prefer to live under a Communist economic system. Perhaps the greatest benefit of Communism is the sheer apathy with which I can operate. Because the government tells me where to work, what to eat, and how to think, I can cruise through life with barely even raising a finger. I wouldn’t have to worry about car payments or rent, as everything is provided for me. If I didn’t have something, it would be because I didn’t need it. Also, Communism insures the unity of the nation. The entire motherland would march under one united creed of social responsibility and moral righteousness. Everyone would be a comrade of mine – someone I can fight alongside with in the war on fascist capitalist pigs. Only under Communism can each individual, and therefore the state as a whole, be entirely successful and happy.
